Lunar Nodes in Pisces And Virgo 2025-2026

7 minute read

These personal insights are from January 2025 to gain a sense of where to focus my time and energy for growth and wellbeing. I hadn’t intended on sharing these notes, but feeling a nudge to share at this time, in case this helps you connect the dots.

Lunar North Node in Pisces, South Node in Virgo

On 11th January 2025 (111 energy), the collective Lunar Nodes changed signs. The North Node moved into Pisces and the South Node moved into Virgo where they remain until July 2026.

Unlike north and south node placements in our personal natal charts that progress slower, and for most remain in the same signs our entire life, the collective lunar nodes change signs every 18 months approx.

The changing of signs translates to a shift in the energy for the collective karmic path of humanity. An opportunity to make choices greater aligned to the betterment for all.

The north node points to where we are heading, where there is room for improvement, growth, and expansion. The south node is what we are moving away from, traits to leave behind that hinder growth.

We are 10 months into this astrological transit, with time to assess where we currently are, where we wish to be, and explore how to make things happen to bridge that gap in the next 8 months.

This Lunar Node Axis…

Is guiding us to take the highest expressions of Virgo (6th house) to create solid foundations on which to embrace and develop the Pisces (12th house) qualities to live by.

So, let’s dive into the zodiac SIGNS, their ATTRIBUTES, the ENERGY of this astrological transit to understand what this means for us physically and spiritually, personally and collectively!

First, let’s take a look at the area in life we are being called to explore, acquire and strengthen skills in, and expand into. The lunar north node in Pisces.

PISCES Attributes

  • Pisces is a water sign, relating to emotions, receptivity, feelings, the lesson of peace.

  • Pisces is the last sign of the zodiacal wheel responsible for bringing MAJOR CYCLES in life, nature, and astrology to a close.

  • The planetary ruler of Pisces is Neptune (spiritual vision, illusion, creative imagination, psychic ability, beyond materialism, enlightenment).

  • Pisces is ruler of the 12th house ~ the area of life connected to spirituality, the relationship between you and God/Source/the universe, having a well-developed spiritual life, meditation, withdrawal, the world of subconscious, unconscious, and unseen (what is below surface level), dreams, looking inwards, past lives, karma, and service to others.

  • Pisces is associated with the LYMPHATIC SYSTEM, IMMUNE SYSTEM, and FEET. All are connected to all other parts of the body. Unresolved emotions within Pisces, for example, may show up as swollen feet, lymphatic health issues and our ability to release toxicity from the body (physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually), or deficiencies with the immune system. The moon governs fluids, both within us and around us in nature, so intentionally working with the cycles of the moon is a natural choice to promote inner balance.

The chart below compares the highest and lowest expressions of Pisces and Virgo to gain a sense of feelings that indicate balanced, or imbalanced emotions.

Now, let’s take a look at the lunar south node in Virgo, the foundations to support our journey of spiritual awakening and deep introspection.

VIRGO Attributes

  • Virgo is an earth sign, relating to practicality, self-discipline, sensations, the lesson of service, and self-improvement.

  • The planetary ruler of Virgo is Mercury ~ Communication (including the ability to listen), expression, the mind and intellect.

  • Virgo is the ruler of the 6th house ~ Daily routine, habits, day job, self-discipline, service, health and wellbeing, healers, and animals (small pets)

  • Virgo is associated with our digestive system, intestines, and spleen. Any unprocessed anxiety for Virgo may show up as symptoms in these areas of the body. Energy work for the sacral and solar plexus chakras helps restore balance in these areas of the body. If we look at the parts of the body associated with both Virgo and Pisces they all work very closely to support the health of the each other, there is a special synergy between them.

What Do Pisces and Virgo Have In Common?

Both signs are feminine (yin) energy, introverted, and these signs END EVERY SEASON.

For both Pisces and Virgo, their ROLE and WISDOM is in knowing how to prepare for the changing of the seasons, to bring things to conclusion (the closing of a chapter), they are comfortable with CHANGE, and know how to be ADAPTABLE, and FLEXIBLE.

This indicates a BIG need for stillness, quiet time, alone time, getting comfortable sitting in your own presence, getting to know your energy, your emotions, who you are from within.

This nodal axis requires us to bring things to closure and completion from the past, to release any baggage, complete the cycle so that we can move forward into a new cycle with full focus, presence, and all our energy.

How To Work With This Energy

Just like the seasons and cycles in nature, each one preparing for the arrival of the next, astrology does the same. Each cycle supports building the foundations for the next cycle.

Pisces is guiding us to get comfortable spending time in deep introspection (feminine, yin energy). To get in touch with our feelings, emotions, and intuition, to trust and follow the inner guidance, to remember our Divine inner connection, and interconnectedness within the universe.

Pisces understands the art of surrender, allowance, receiving, being, to spend more time in your own presence, finding comfort and seeking guidance and solutions from within, not externally.

When we practice this we naturally sense the bigger picture, beyond what is seen with the naked eye, we tap into what is unseen. It is a call to return to following the natural sacred flow and rhythm of life, like our ancestors once did. And to return to love which starts on the inside.

Working with the new and full moons during this lunar node cycle are the incremental steps leading the way, sharing insights on what to shed and what to nurture to help move us through the bigger collective cycle.

Creating Stability ~ what helps us feel safe

This period of time may feel very ungrounding and confusing to many, especially newly awakening souls without daily practices in place to support grounding, nervous system regulation, and hearing intuition clearly.

Virgo traits can help us here. Virgo knows that repetition, and what we do consistently on a daily basis confers safety in our nervous system and creates stability. This is where committing to daily healthful habits, daily rituals, routine, simplicity, stress management gained through fitness and healthy eating, setting small goals, and taking incremental steps of action daily creates stability.

Focusing on daily practices, habits, and rituals that also honor, acknowledge, and reconnect us to our spiritual roots is how we bring balance to Virgo and Pisces energy by bringing spiritual wisdom down and ground them into our everyday lives. Through this we achieve both physical and spiritual wellbeing.

We are creating the foundations of safety from the inside out.

The more we strengthen connection to our intuition, our inner guidance to hear it more clearly, the greater we trust and follow it.

What to let go of:

  • Fear

  • Worrying thoughts, mental anguish

  • Perfectionism - can leave us in indecision

  • Over-analyzing

  • The illusion of limitation

  • Depleting our energy with overly busy work and personal schedules

  • Distractions - anything that takes us away from being fully present with ourselves

  • Inflexibility

  • Suppressed and heavy emotions

  • Toxicity that gets in the way of balanced physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health

Daily healing habits:

  • Inner reflection - devotion to daily meditation, prayer, stillness, alone time, seeking answers from within

  • Spiritual practices - daily practices that acknowledge and honour our divine inner connection, to replenish energy from the inside out

  • Get in touch with our emotions and intuition - Learn to intuit and understand our own energy and chakra system

  • Energy work to release suppressed and/or trapped emotions

  • Avoid distractions - remain devoted to ourselves, rest and recharge our energy, learn to identify with our own energy first

  • Movement - yoga, tai chi, qigong, resistance training, building muscle, stretching, walks in nature, breath work, get energy flowing

  • Clean eating - eat whole foods as close to their natural state (unprocessed), avoid foods with additives, or preservatives. Food is medicine.

  • Hydration - adequate hydration with pure water (water free of chemicals), hydrate with electrolytes for hydration on cellular levels

  • Taking better care of ourselves - Reduce the toxicity we ingest (what we put in us, on us, or allow in our surroundings/environment). Decluttering, purifying, detoxifying on physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual levels to enhance the vital life force energy within

  • Spend time in creative pursuits - Follow what makes you feel good

  • Journaling - time for inner reflection. Be open, be curious to what rises up

The next cycle

In July 2026, the Lunar north node moves into Aquarius and the lunar south node moves into Leo until March 2028.

This will be a cycle calling us to show up in the outer world (extroverted energy), to come together in community and collaboration. A cycle guiding us to work together towards equality, humanitarian causes, showing up in our full authenticity, confidently knowing who we are, our gifts and abilities, knowing what we stand for. This will help us each gain a sense of where we belong in the world, and how we can create meaningful, lasting change in the world.

It will be a period of time that promotes independence but also interdependence, and following our hearts desires.

The current cycle of introspection and inner healing work is setting the foundations for this next cycle, the next level of expansion into something new.

The more tuned in we each are to our own energy, our emotions, our intuition, our unique gifts and talents, our creativity, trusting and following where our heart guides us, the more powerfully and confidently we can connect with like-minded souls in community and collaborations to create a better world for humanity.
